Are you like me trying to figure out how to make life more meaningful? And live it to the fullest. Do you ever feel like you are “sleep-walking” through life? And do you wish you had more freedom. More adventure. More time. More love. More energy. Well you are not alone. Sadly most people go through life without actually utilizing its fullest potential.
Maybe it’s the circumstances around you or the fact that your thoughts are holding you back. But remember that this is a poison created in your own mind. Free the mind from needless worry and free your soul to the wind.
Let life itself teach you how to live.
Have you ever seen a seed germinate from the ground upwards as if it’s trying to reach for the sky? That seed does not think, will I grow tall or will I be nibbled by the insect in a nascent stage itself? It just grows out from the earth and turns into a magnificent tree.
So why can’t we humans imbibe what nature is teaching us? Why can’t we just go with the flow?
Agreed there will be problems, everywhere and every time. And you will have to face them too. But the idea is too not think too much of them and just move on.
There are few ideas to put into practice to try to put your life back on track. Some you may already know about, some you may have read on the net. However check out which one you can identify with and start following them. Don’t go the whole hog at once. Take small baby steps and you will see that it makes one hell of a difference to your life.
Learn to live for yourself first. This is the most important one of them all. Its only when you are able to fulfill your own needs, can you truly be able to help others wholeheartedly. Find time to do things just for you. It’s not being selfish at all. You alone are responsible for your own life and how you want it to be.
Create a bucket list if you may. Begin by penning down everything you want to experience in this one life you have been gifted with. It may be a hobby, a holiday, a new job, or all of the above. And then start to tick them off one by one. Accomplishing the written word gives a tremendous amount of accomplishment and confidence to the person.
Write down your goals. Again don’t look too much into the future just focus on right now. Want to excel at your job? Find ways to improve your work skills to help you reach your goal. Visualize your success. Dream big to do big.
Don’t be crazy running after money. Having money is important in life but only because it gives you the freedom to chase what you really want in life
Don’t be jealous of someone else’s life, their successes or happiness. You have no idea about the battles they are fighting. Besides it’s a very destructive habit. Try to find the small joys of life that make you happy.
Don’t complain .Your life is your own. Either you complain about it frequently or work towards changing it. Which would you choose?
Don’t be afraid of failure. Failure is a great tool. It teaches you to persevere and start again. It gives you another opportunity to start afresh, a clean slate to rewrite the story of success.
Ignore things that cannot or won’t change. Why hold on to something if it’s going to remain stagnant. Any kind of stagnancy or rot is only going to stress you more. If it’s not in your control to change or alter it,then why bother.
Take good care of your body. Your body is your image to the world. Wouldn’t it be nice to project it well. Eat well, exercise, get a good sleep. Exercising releases a hormone called the endorphin, which is responsible to make you happy and less stressful.
Take care of your mind. Control your thoughts. Overthinking and negative thoughts create poison in our minds. Most problems in life arise because we are creating a negative mindset and holding on to the negative thought for far too long
Plan for the future but live in the today. Don’t sacrifice all of your presents. Take that vacation you want to. Do not put your life on Auto Pilot. Live consciously. If you do not like something of your daily routine make a change .Start small, maybe a diet or a daily routine. Change is good.
Improve your social skills. Enjoy your time out with friends.
Simplify your life. Get rid of things and people who do not add to your life. The less you need to be happy the happier you will be.
Improve your posture. If you stand tall, you feel tall. If you slouch you slouch.
Stop trying to please everyone. Trying to make everyone happy is a great way to make sure that you never get to do anything for yourself. There will always be someone wanting more, someone is who not happy with the way things are done. Just stop the people pleasing habit at once .
Smile. When you smile it will make you happier
