Soul Tribe

his and mine

Have you ever met someone new or even talked to them for a few minutes and suddenly you both realize like as if you have known them for your whole life. And it’s even more surprising when it’s just the first time you are meeting or interacting with them?

It’s like they just get you, and you get them.

You form an instant and a natural connection with them, with a comfort level unlike any other. You are drawn to them almost magically.

The conversation flows freely and they understand you, they resonate with you, and they share the similar values and beliefs. They believe in you, your passion, your philosophy, and your purpose. And you believe in theirs.

I think it’s one of the best feelings in the world.

Do you know that it is your soul tribe you have just connected with?

Yes it’s not bizarre! And not to sound exclusive, but they are part of your inner circle and you are in theirs.

It’s a little difficult to explain this if you don’t believe in it. I have had people who say to “it’s all humdrum. There is no such thing as a soul tribe”.

Well all I can say to such people is that “you wouldn’t know. You haven’t met yours yet. I have and I know”!

Have you ever felt all alone and vulnerable at times? Well let me tell you that you are never really alone on your journey. Someday one of your soul tribe will somehow cross paths with you and help guide you along the way. They will come into your life at exactly the right time. And when you connect with someone from your soul tribe, you will feel a sense of wholeness and peace wash over you.

They will be these wholehearted and passion-driven people. Their hearts will be big, their thoughts deep, and their words loving. They will know exactly what you want to accomplish in life because they can sense your energy and they will help support you and accomplish that goal. They will not abandon you when you are lost, but will help you find your way back again. You can feel free to speak your mind and tell them your deep secrets without feeling vulnerable or rejected.

Trust me if you feel a strong connection with someone while you’re going through a tough time, don’t take this as a coincidence.  Allow them into your life and nurture that connection.

Having people who really get you and your soul makes life so much more magical. You and your soul tribe are all on a journey. As individuals, but also together. Isn’t that amazing? Because together is better. Because don’t we all “belong to each other.”

The Red Thread

red thread.jpg

There’s an ancient Chinese myth claiming that if 2 people are destined to be together, then they will meet each other sooner or later no matter how far apart they live. Their lives will always cross, because they are connected by a “Red Thread.”

According to this myth, the Gods tie a red string around the ankles of those that are destined to meet each other or help each other in a certain way. The concept is similar to the Western concept of a “soul mate” or a “twin flame.” The red colour of the string of fate that binds two soul mates is strongly connected to attraction and desire.

Legend has it that walking home one night, a little boy saw an old man reading a book. He asked him what he was reading. The old man said it was a book of marriages, and told the young boy he was destined to marry one girl. When he showed the little boy the girl he was to marry, though the boy didn’t like the idea because he didn’t want to get married. He threw a rock at her and ran away as fast as he could.

Years later, a marriage was arranged between the boy and one of the most beautiful girls in the village. But, when he unveiled her he noticed his wife-to-be had a small scar over her eyebrow.

When he asked her about it, she told him that a boy had thrown a rock at her as a child.

The bottom line of this proverb is, submitting to a higher power. Destiny will take its course, and in time all will fall into place. It is important not to fight the red thread.

No matter how near or far you are from the person, the thread remains. There will be times when mentally or physically, you feel distant from the person, but that doesn’t affect the thread that binds you two together.

Maybe that’s why we go around our lives searching for the one who is our destiny. Every time we fall in love, we feel this is it, this is the one and that we have found the other half.

However, it is also true that sometimes the path that leads to our destiny, challenges everything that we have ever believed in about love and happily ever after.

Even when we find the ‘one for us,’ things may not go smoothly. The time may not be right; the circumstances might challenge the strength of our bond.  What remains is that people who are destined to be together will find a way back, because no matter what we believe true love does exist, and it is eternal. Those connected by the red thread are bound regardless of time, place or circumstance. Their lives are destined to intertwine in some way.
