Have you ever noticed nature closely?
Isn’t it amazing that patterns and shapes exist all around us- all across the Universe- and these fundamental templates adhere to a set harmony?
Right from the Fibonacci sequence (which is inherent in everything from a simple pine cone, or a snail shell, or even the human body, and the Great Pyramids at Giza) to the Golden Ratio, they govern our entire visible and invisible world.
Galileo once said, “Mathematics is the alphabet with which God has written the universe.”
Is it a coincidence that all of the cells, plants, symbols, galaxies, matter, elements and life form are all shaped in similar fashion?
Is there a spiritual meaning behind these geometric patterns and symbols?
Is there is a “secret” purpose and a pattern to everything in existence?
Artists, musicians, and philosophers have long evoked the power of sacred geometry or sacred shapes in their work. Such sacred shapes also represent the intangible, mystical elements of life. Why else are we so drawn to them?
Whatever may be the reason behind the prevalence of these patterns, one thing is clear: Symbols have the power to represent the divine, visual and mathematical order in all of life and are the blueprint of the Universe.
And in the middle of this, YOU exist, an equal part of this magnificence, as meaningful and integral to the universe. More than you probably even realize. And all of your life experiences are happening within this grand “plan”. Nothing happens by chance or accident.
So just breathe and allow your soul to show you the way. It’s all written in the Universe much before you were born.
Nothing in what happens in your life is a coincidence.
Everything is predetermined and preordained by the creator. Two incidents in the past few days have reinforced my belief that coincidences are merely what you attract in your life at that particular time.
Good things, bad things…whatever it may be, it’s all happening the way it should be unfolded.
Life’s lessons are usually learnt in some uncomfortable circumstances. The lessons that teach you to either let go or have more faith.
Let’s go a little back here to emphasise the point I am getting at. Sometimes life’s responsibilities drag you into a whirlpool of immense work and you have less choice but to face that task alone. And those responsibilities bring with them a tsunami of intense emotions that take over your logical mind completely and leave you vulnerable and naked to negativity.
While I am a stay at home caretaker to an aged parent, I sometimes feel the need to take a breather from the stress of daily duties and just unwind. Some days that is possible, but when a long period of time goes by, the things at hand go so out of control that I am on the verge of losing my mind.
I do have house help, to handle the daily requirements, but there is no one around most of the time to have a decent conversation with.
I do have friends but then they too have their own issues to deal with and we can’t seem to find a common time to meet up to just enjoy each other’s company. I mean how much can one talk on the phone? My mind yearns to have conversations which ‘feed my soul’. Or just meet people who can change my perspective on things without sounding condescending.
Sometimes on weekends when the man of the house is in to share in his bit, I do like to go off to the parlour and self indulge in a little pampering. So about 2 weeks back as I was about to go for one of my ‘perk me up’ sessions I sent a silent prayer to the universe to please let me meet someone who I can have a normal and regular chit chat with. And guess what!
She came! Right there in the parlour.
I had never seen or met her before. I do not know who she was. But we just connected, and got talking, about random things, about poetry, about religion, about soul mates and twin flames.
There was no awkwardness. Our energies were synchronising together and the conversation just started flowing like a meandering river. The time just flew by. We spend nearly two hours talking.
It was the most liberating soul nourishing experience I have had after a long time. Suddenly all the stress and tension in my body seemed to evaporate.
Let me narrate another incident if this isn’t enough to satisfy your curiosity. I was in tatters and tears a couple of days back. Life felt like a huge burden I could not carry anymore. Although I am usually very strong about the upheavals in my life and take it in stride, but that day was I like walking on fire with my eyes open. I had had enough.
There are times when family can never understand what you are going through. And at times like these you turn to the one you feel most comfortable with, a friend or a colleague, or even a guru or mentor, to vent out your insecurities and your negativity.
And out of the blue without thinking much, I just decided to vent out my feelings to a dear friend. He has a very positive and calming influence on my mind. He gives me the silent non judgmental, but at the same time an understated and tremendous support which is invaluable for me. He can read my mind. He is like a punching bag for me. I can just spew on a lot of things on him and he never complains about me nagging him. He quietly listens.
He just read the text full of negativity and ranting and texted back ‘what time can I speak to you? That’s it. That’s all I wanted to hear I guess. That he was around. That I wasn’t alone.
I knew he listened and understood what was happening. Sometimes that’s all you ever need. For someone to listen and not give you strong words of advice.
So anyway, I did not want to talk to him as then it would have me crying bucketfuls in front of him and that is something I definitely did not want to do. I cannot do that. No matter what shit I am going through I just cannot cry in front of anyone. It’s just not me.
Anyway what I am coming to is that he had changed his profile pic a few minutes back. And it was no coincidence that it had to happen at such a crucifying time for me. After I sent him my message I just opened his pic and was looking at it for a long time. It was like he was near me, his eyes urging me to hold on and be strong.
It was as if the universe was looking out for me, because suddenly my mood shifted. I became calm. There was no anxiety or bitterness left in my heart anymore.
Were these two incidents just a mere coincidence? I think not. And if it was, then I would say that such meaningful coincidences help get us to places we need to be without knowing how we got there.
You may call it Fate or Mystery, or the Universe or God, but it’s about all the things happening to us or falling into place or coming together in a surprising, unexpected way without an obvious explanation. As you begin to accept it as synchronicity it drastically changes your life.
Everything that happens is predetermined and will be revealed to us when our soul is ready to accept the change. Synchronicity is like a mirror – whatever you believe in and manifest for yourself, it will reflect back to you. You just have to believe in it.
It is for a reason that your spirit guides never fails to tell you to be positive and not let the negative take on your senses and bog you down.
The Chance meeting with that woman or the picture of my friend changing at that precise moment was not a coincidence. It was written in my soul plan. The Universe was merely reflecting back to me what I was attracting at that moment. Such incidents are rarely an accident. Sometimes I agree things are not in our control but our realities are largely the result of our unconscious wants and the energies that manifest within.
The point is that everything you attract into your life – every person, every object, and every experience –has all been drawn into your reality by none other than YOU
Think about this!!
Do you ever enjoy spending time alone? I mean really alone with no one but just your thoughts for company.
What do you think about? Your career, your significant other, your finances, and the way your life is shaping up? Do these thoughts make you feel satisfied and content with your life or do you feel the itch to change something about the course your life is headed towards?
Like you I too find myself constantly under a cloud of these thousand and one, random thoughts that appear in my mind. And to quieten the commotion of silent noise they create in my head, I end up either indulging in some hobby or reading a motivational book.
And ‘The Alchemist’ is one such book. I read that book whenever I need a ‘pick me up’.
I am sure you all must have read this book. If you haven’t, you must, immediately. There are some books which will teach you lessons for life, and this one is definitely on top of the list. There thousands of books which share their advice on dreams, but this book will plunge you into the whole new world of possibilities where you’ll discover that there is nothing as important as following your dreams & destiny.
It’s a masterpiece from the Brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho. The Alchemist’s main theme is finding one’s destiny. The whole journey teaches us to follow our hearts and dreams; we should always seize the opportunities life offers in the pursuit of whatever makes us happy.
Personally, I can safely say that it is one of my most favourite reads. I have read and reread this book multiple times, and everytime I find something new in its story. It inspired me more than any other book I’ve ever read. Some of the most awesome quotes can be found deep within its pages. Quotes that have a left a lasting impression on my mind.
Quotes like “Whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you want something, it is because that desire originated in the soul of the Universe. It is your mission on earth. To realize one’s destiny is a person’s only real obligation. All things are one. When you want something; All the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it”.
Do you believe in this? Well, I most definitely do.
We must understand that our dreams are not silly or that our selfish desires should not be ignored. We must understand that everything in the universe is connected. This quote also introduces the concept of the soul of the universe, suggestive to the idea that a person’s purpose in life centers on fulfilling one’s desires.
When “your desire originates in the soul of the Universe” means your desire and the desire of the Soul of The Universe is same.
So if you desire something with happiness and if you find joy working on that dream, then you nourished the soul of the Universe. When you nourished the soul of the Universe for that particular desire, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
No matter how badly you want something but if you want it with desperation, if you want it because you feel sad without it then you won’t get it. If you want something with the feelings of anger or sadness or frustration, then the Universe can’t make it true for you. Because with all these negative feelings, you are weakening the soul of the Universe and making the desire die within it. You just need to keep faith in yourself and be persistent in that direction. It is the one greatest truth on this planet: whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the soul of the universe.”
Or – “At a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. That’s the world’s greatest lie.”
Do you believe you have no control over your life? Are you who you are today, by choice or by fate? Many people have given up on their dreams. Agreed, that some of us are born to have easy lives, while some are born to take a more challenging path. Perhaps the limitations and obstacles you face today are part of your journey — you must overcome them to grow stronger on the path to achieving your goals. But sometimes somewhere along the way, your dreams get buried under the reality of daily living. The focus shifts from ‘living the dream’ to just ‘Survival first’, as they call it. The sad part is that many people spend much of their lives doing what they don’t like, I say, that’s a great way to bury your happiness and turn into an economic slave. Doing what you dislike, day after day, will numb the sense of joy within you. Soon you will feel that your life has no greater purpose, and there is nothing to look forward to but work, work, work…You will have forgotten how much fun it is to spend your time doing the things you like to do.
Another gem – “It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.”
Hope. What a wonderful four-letter word this is. The beauty of life is hidden in the hope and in the possibilities that it someday your dreams will manifest.
And another – “Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams”.
Fear holds many of us back in life. The fear of failing, of rejection and of other’s opinions can impact us so heavily that we only fail ourselves by our own inaction. We’ve heard it many times before: The thought of something is often worse than the thing itself. Don’t underestimate your own resilience. It just sums up the feeling that when you follow your heart and your intuitions, you’re going exactly on the path where you’re supposed to go.
This one always keep me motivated – “The darkest hour of midnight comes just before dawn.”
My God do I know this or what? So many times, when I have almost given up this reminds me that there is hope, even in the worst of circumstances. Life is never going to be easy, for anyone. The difficulties the hardships the daily grind of taking one more step, I mean who hasn’t been through it, right? This quote is a reminder for me and anyone reading this, that it’s just one more hour of darkness before the light hits me with its brilliance, and that I must never give up on my dreams, on my hopes.
And finally – “When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
Love. That word conjures up so many images in our minds. Nowadays pure, unadulterated love is so difficult to find. Why do the partners searching for perfection in the other and try to change them by moulding them in their own desired way. That’s not love but a mere illusion. They are in love with the idea of being in love. But real love should be the one that help us to find our true self. The only way love can last a lifetime is if it’s unconditional. It should be a romance that goes beyond the stars and the moon. One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving.
If there is anything that I want you to take away from this post it is this: to be passionate about everything you do and to not be afraid to fail.
“Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.”
Following yesterday’s blog on Karma, today I will share with you the 12 Laws of Karma.
To stop being afraid and to start being empowered in the worlds of karma and reincarnation, here is what you need to know about karmic laws.
The wheel of karma is of the notion that everything in our life takes place due to past actions and that present actions affect future lifetimes.
You can use the laws of karma to create success in your life. It’s all about choices, and it states that as you sow shall you reap, but a hundred times over. Your world is 100% the result of your previous actions, words and thoughts.
- The Great Law
Whatever we pour into the universe will come back to us. The simple explanation of the great law is: our thoughts and actions have consequences – good or bad. If what we want is Happiness, Peace, Love & Friendship, then we should BE a Happy, Peaceful, Loving and a True Friend.
- The Law of Creation
Life does not HAPPEN by itself. We need to make it happen. The life we see around us was created by our own intentions. And since what we surround ourselves with, becomes part of us, it’s our responsibility to ensure these surroundings are conducive to our desires.
- The Law of Humility
Simply put one must accept something in order to change it. Acceptance is a near-universal virtue in many belief systems. What you refuse to accept will continue for you. In focusing on the negative instead of making changes to address the negative, we’re committing to a zero-sum result.
- The Law of Growth
When we change ourselves, only then do our lives change. Our own growth is in our hands. It’s not the circumstance, or the people, or the things that will change. ‘ME’ is the only person, I have control over, above any other circumstance. True change only occurs if we make the commitment to change what is in our heart.
- The Law of Responsibility
Our lives are of our own doing, nothing else. The mirror we stand before shows us our own true reflection. When there is turbulence in one’s own life, there is often turbulence within us. If we’re to change our life, we must change our mind set & our surroundings. We must take responsibility for what is in our lives.
- The Law of Connection
The past, present and future are all connected. Everything in the universe is connected. As such, we must put in the work to change these connections if we desire something different.
- The Law of Focus
We cannot think of two different things at the same time. Relating to our spiritual growth, we cannot have both, negative thoughts and actions, and expect to get positive results. We must give our full attention to achieve any desired task.
- The Law of Giving and Hospitality
Our behaviour should match our thoughts and actions, demonstrating our selflessness and show our true intentions. Selflessness is a virtue. Without a selfless nature, true spiritual growth is nearly impossible.
- The Law of Here and Now
One cannot be in the present time if we are continuously looking backwards. The present is all we have. Looking back regretfully robs oneself of a present opportunity. Old thoughts and patterns of behaviour totally negate the present chance to advance ourselves.
- The Law of Change
History will continue to repeat itself until we learn the lessons that we need to change our path. Conscious commitment to change is the only method of influencing the positive energies to direct it to fruitful outcome.
- The Law of Patience and Reward
Nothing of value is created without a patient mind set. Toiling away cannot be avoided through wishful thinking. Our rewards are claimed only through patience and persistence, nothing else. True lasting joy comes from the knowledge of doing what’s necessary. The reward to come in on its own time.
- The law of Significance and Inspiration
The best reward is the one that contributes to the Whole. You get back from something whatever YOU have put into it. You feed love, you will get love, you feed hatred and you are served hatred. Energy and intentions are vital apparatuses that decide the significance of an end-result.
“Karma is the law of cause and effect – an unbreakable law of the cosmos. Your actions create your future. The reason your fate is never sealed is because you have free will. Therefore your future cannot already be written. That would not be fair. Life gives you chances. This is one of them.” – The Tree of Awakening.
