Embrace the change

It’s been a long time, hasn’t it?

A long time since you socialised with your friends.
A long time since you went back to work.
A long time since those coffee breaks and quick drinks.
A long time since you went on that drive.
A long time since you met your love.
A long time since you went on dates.
A long time since you exchanged hugs and kisses.
A long time since you walked the streets and caught the eye of a stranger.
A long time since you had a stroll in the parks.
A long time since you were in the midst of a commotion.
A long time has passed, and so much has changed.
Days, weeks and months flew by, and you are somewhat different now.

You have…….
A sense of comfort in your own solitude.
A sense of strength in your solidarity.
A sense of tranquility in your mind.
A sense of being connected in all this separation.
A sense of purpose.
You have changed, my god you have.
Don’t let anyone take this away from you.
Don’t be forced to shift back to what you used to be.

You have found so much in this space.
Take your time.
You still might be healing.
You still might be on the way to finding your sense of self.
Remember this and remember well.
You have changed, and it’s a good thing.

Cherish it. Celebrate it. Enhance it. .

Know Yourself

But the question here is how? How do I know who is the real me?

Finding oneself may be searching for the purpose of your life to say it in a broader sense. But actually, it is finding and knowing yourself through the innumerable priceless moments you experience daily. Life is not some kind of a board game, which you have to play it in one go from start to finish.

Life has many ‘rasas’. (Rasa is a Sanskrit word and has many translations in English, the main ones being: essence, juice, nectar, taste, or sap.)

Rasa is in everything, or I should say… everything has Rasa. Though some things have a higher vibrational essence, others have lower. Rasa is the invisible substance that gives life meaning.

Quoting Aristotle, who said ‘Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”

To truly know yourself is the most important skill you can ever possess. When you know who you are, you will instinctively know what you need to do, instead of looking for permission from others.

And the best way to find this is to be still. Meditate. Look within. Just be with your own some lonesome. It is a perfect time to be one with yourself and evaluating yourself. That’s when you are truly truthful about you and every other facet of your life.

Many people don’t know themselves because any sort of silence scares them; it’s too uncomfortable to be alone with every flaw staring back at them. But being quiet and discovering your true self is so highly addictive.

Find what you are good at (and not good at). This might be the most difficult step in the process of finding who you are, but it’s a necessary one. Give yourself ample time of trial and error to find what you’re good at, and don’t give up before you’ve had more than enough attempts.

Quit only when your efforts aren’t giving back in return. What is ample time? Only you can decide that. But when you quit correctly, it isn’t giving up, it’s making room for something better. When your actions do nothing but drain you—rather than produce more passion and increase your drive to do more—that’s a good sign it is time to focus elsewhere.

This will also lead you realizing where your true passion lies. Pay attention

And if you think asking a friend or a family member what they have to say about you could help, go ahead and do that. Of course, their opinion isn’t going to be perfect, but their feedback will probably indicate a few areas you may want to at least take a second look at.

A large aspect of knowing yourself can be found in your relationships. Almost as much as you need to know yourself, other people also need to know who you are. People need you—the real you.

Because when you understand who you are meant to be, your purpose will finally become bigger than your fears.

And remember to stop chasing people. If they block you or cut off contact with you or ignore you, let them go. The ones who enjoy your energy and what you bring to the table will naturally gravitate towards you. Stop trying to ‘prove your worth’ and cling on to relationships just because they made you happy once. Let them off and cherish those who want you and want to be with you by their own free will and not because you want them to be.

Finding what you really want from your life is going to be a tough call. You will have to let go of a lot of things that you held close to your heart.

Pay close attention to those moments that leave you truly satisfied and happy? That’s the voice of your soul calling.

You may have heard the phrase – “do not settle.” Understand this. We are all meant for great things and eventually we all come together to form a great world.

Nothing stops us but our limited thoughts.

Nothing helps us grow like our imagination.

Do not let your fears kill your dreams or potential.

Challenge your fears and make them disappear.

Your greatest strength has always been You .

And remember to-

‘Love yourself the way you wish to be loved by others’.

You are perfect

Have you ever noticed nature closely?

Isn’t it amazing that patterns and shapes exist all around us- all across the Universe- and these fundamental templates adhere to a set harmony?

Right from the Fibonacci sequence (which is inherent in everything from a simple pine cone, or a snail shell, or even the human body, and the Great Pyramids at Giza) to the Golden Ratio, they govern our entire visible and invisible world.

Galileo once said, “Mathematics is the alphabet with which God has written the universe.”

Is it a coincidence that all of the cells, plants, symbols, galaxies, matter, elements and life form are all shaped in similar fashion?

Is there a spiritual meaning behind these geometric patterns and symbols?

Is there is a “secret” purpose and a pattern to everything in existence?

golden ratio

Artists, musicians, and philosophers have long evoked the power of sacred geometry or sacred shapes in their work. Such sacred shapes also represent the intangible, mystical elements of life. Why else are we so drawn to them?

Whatever may be the reason behind the prevalence of these patterns, one thing is clear: Symbols have the power to represent the divine, visual and mathematical order in all of life and are the blueprint of the Universe.

And in the middle of this, YOU exist, an equal part of this magnificence, as meaningful and integral to the universe. More than you probably even realize. And all of your life experiences are happening within this grand “plan”. Nothing happens by chance or accident.

So just breathe and allow your soul to show you the way. It’s all written in the Universe much before you were born.

It’s Now

Never stop fighting until you arrive at your destined place – that is, the unique you. Have an aim in life, continuously acquire knowledge, work hard, and have perseverance to realise the great life. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

I came across this quote and it left me wondering; do we really have to fight for what we want?

I used to think that whatever is meant for us will eventually gravitate towards us, just like birds who find a way back to their nests once the sun sets.

Have you ever had a feeling or wanting something so bad that you can’t stop thinking about it?

Is it okay to want something so desperately that you can actually feel your heart aching for it?

Maybe yes, it might even be a good thing if you ask me.

If you wake up thinking about something and if by the time you sleep, those thoughts haven’t ceased but rather only intensified then you must definitely ace up your act and fight for it.

There is a reason you can’t let go of them. Maybe those thoughts are your inner feelings, your gut instinct telling you to go out there and achieve those goals, or get that better job, or learn that new skill, or live the life you always dreamed of.

Maybe all the struggles you are facing and all the sacrifices you have made are actually preparing you to move ahead with confidence.

I have had my bad days and my sad days. I mean who doesn’t.

But I can 100% say that I have a resilient heart. I don’t give up easily. I fight for what I want. It might drain out the life of me to give up on something or someone, especially if that thing or person means so much to me.

I may back down a little bit but only so that my soul could align with the universe to lift me up higher.

I always have this insatiable urge to learn, to try out new things. It’s never been about making tonnes of money, but rather of a personal, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Which is why, I can’t just throw away all the effort, hard work, those thousands of hours of deep thinking and the time I put into it.

I keep fighting for what I want until I can’t fight anymore, until giving up is the only option left.

And even after that, I fight some more. I just can’t let go.

I always believed that before giving up, one should think about how far they have come.

Not only does success require diligent effort, it also requires persistence and patience.

Learn not to get side-tracked by fear. Or distracted by other’s opinions. Or closed minded by what ifs?

Rest when you are tired, but don’t quit.

There is no soul mate, or a life partner, or a friend out there who will solve all your worries.

You are the one, who you should be standing up for.

Regret is such a wasteful emotion. Time really flies. And you will only regret all the things you did not do, is when you are lying on your deathbed.

Don’t wait for tomorrow as tomorrow isn’t promised.

Do what you want to do today. It is the only time worth fighting for.

It’s the only time that matters.
